Hireling Class

Hirelings date back to 2e, & the 5e Services Table says you can hire skilled hirelings for 2 gold pieces per day.  Now, you can create & play them in Shard!

The Hireling Class is designed for NPCs and companions who support the party without stealing the spotlight.  Hirelings can fill gaps in a group while having enough useful features and hit points to survive an adventure.  They are especially well suited for playing adventure designed for 3-5 players as solo or two-player games.

This product includes:

• Base Class with Lore & Roleplaying suggestions
• New Loyalty System
• 5 Subclasses, each with Spell Point Variants
• Tiered Backgrounds
• A Sample system for turning creatures with stat blocks into playable races

So the next time your party needs an extra Blade or Shield for the front line, a Specialist for a particular task, or a Caster for problems requiring magical solutions, consider adding a Hireling to the party.
