The Panic Dungeon

The Panic Dungeon is a resource of GM’s to have in their back pocket at all times. Every GM lives with the fear that the party will veer wildly off course with no warning, venturing into a region or city the GM has not yet prepared. No GM wants to stop the game. Telling your players you’re not ready for them to enter this region breaks the verisimilitude of the game world. The Panic Dungeon is a simple dungeon that can be dropped into a campaign at any time, to be deployed when your players are at risk of pushing against the boundaries of what you have prepared. It is designed to eat about a session of play, and buy the GM some time to prepare the region the party is headed for.
