“When I first walked into Gillshire, I was reminded of being a child stepping into the woods after a particularly well-told fairy tale. That feeling in your stomach and rush in your chest that tells you you’re on the cusp of something truly remarkable, no matter how the banality of your surroundings might try to trick your eyes.”
— Garem Gurkie, Knowledge Keeper and founder of the 23rd library.
Far off of the beaten path and unmarked on any map, sits the small village of Gillshire. Its people are kind, hardy, and hardworking folk who spend their time tending their farms and to the various needs of their small settlement. A passing glance at the woodland village wouldn’t turn up anything extraordinary, in fact, the truly rude might even call Gillshire and its uncomplicated inhabitants boring. But those that spend some time in Gillshire begin to notice that there’s more there than meets the eye, both in the village itself and the people who call it home.
